Madridīs Theatre Tradition

The theater tradition in Madrid goes back almost to the foundation of the city. The transference of the royal court in 1606 automatically caused the transference of all cultural events. The Buen Retiro park was often used for the community, or non-noble theater, with many works using the natural scenery as props as pools, naval battles and works of piracy.
