Long Travels from Madrid

The trains are no longer what they once were
  • Alaris
  • The Alaris train is RENFE´s solution to the trip between Madrid and Valencia with intermediate stops in Albacete and Xátiva. In addition, a special service is offered, twice daily, between Castellón and Gandía.

  • Tren Estrella
  • The Estrella Trains make nocturnal trips, with a basic supply of fold-down beds (compartments of 2 and 6 beds) and traditional seats. In some cases they have a restaurant, bar and/or cafeteria.

  • Intercity
  • InterCity trains make daily trips between large cities. Their most remarkable characteristics are: high frequency, minimum duration of the trip and few stops. The InterCity trains (Electrotren and Talgo) represent the highest standards of quality and comfort. They have: video, telephone, restaurant and press services available.

  • Trenhotel
  • The Trenhotel travels only nocturnally. It has fold-down sleeping seats in: first class, single, double and tourist classes. It offers all its clients a hig level of service on board, reception at the foot of the train, support personnel and press services.

  • Talgo
  • The Talgo trains make daily passages radiating out of Madrid, like the Madrid-Alicante and Madrid-Murcia Intercity routes. Their most outstanding characteristics are: trains consisting of 220 seats, highest quality services, pendular suspension, greater acceleration on curves and high commercial speeds. On board there are several services available: restaurant, audio, video, air conditioning, bar and cafeteria.
